Civic Garden Club of San Carlos-Dec 2015

From the newsletter: Message from the President

Dear Members,

Can you believe that it is already December, the last month of 2015! The winter solstice, the shortest day and the longest night of the year, occurs late this month marking the beginning of winter.

Have you accomplished all that you set out to do this year? There is still a little time to do so. New Year’s Eve will be here before we know it. Have you thought about what your New Year’s Resolution will be? This is a very busy month for everyone with a multitude of social and religious events being held and plans being made to get together with friends and relatives to celebrate the season.

Don’t forget our Holiday Luncheon to be held at the Iron Gate on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.
Our entertainment for the event will be the Csardas Gypsy Ensemble.

Our Club activities so far this Club year which started last summer were primarily devoted to reorganizing our storage space inside our building and in our basement, setting up a much more efficient rental system for Casa de Flores and taking care of needed maintenance on our beautiful building. We are still experimenting with plants for our two areas under the Oak trees. In 2016 we plan to concentrate on fund raisers and group activities. Watch for the upcoming issues of the Newsletter for details. I hope to see all of you at our Holiday Luncheon and I wish all of you a joyful Holiday Season.

Joyce
